Deacons are called by God, authorized by the church, and ordained by the church to a lifetime ministry of Word, Service, Compassion, and Justice, to both the community and the congregation in a ministry that connects the two.
Effective trustees will function as Christian stewards of property God has entrusted to the congregation. This includes supervising and maintaining both the physical property of the congregation and gifts made to the congregation so that the ministries of the congregation can be effective and all legal requirements related to the property are satisfied.
This ministry proclaims the Gospel to the unsaved in our area through evangelistic efforts.
The Men’s Ministry exists to develop men into growing disciples of Jesus Christ by creating environments that help them to Connect with God, Grow in community with other men, find a place to Serve in the church, and Live on Mission.

In the African-American religious experience, music plays a very important part in the worship service. The significance of our church music is rooted in the history of the slave experience in America. Our ancestors, as slaves, sang spirituals to keep them spiritually connected to the God they prayed to. Music was a means of survival.
